SAP Security Engineer - Columbus

This individual is responsible for analyzing the SAP information security environment and developing security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, and disclosure. Responsible for the review of design, implementation, and on-going support of security profiles, roles and processes within a large, multi-product SAP implementation. Advises resource owners on formation of appropriate security policies, role development and access permissions.


Work closely with internal and external audit teams in providing information, assessing findings. Monitors the SAP environment for Sarbanes Oxley Compliance, including but not limited to Segregation of Duties and Sensitive transactions in R/3, HR, CRM, BW, EBP. Review and approve IT changes that may impact SOX compliance.
Develops and maintains security policies and profiles associated with project work
Coordinates and works with the Security Administration to ensure management of user accounts is accurate and effective. Deploy and administer SAP Security Tools
Work with Business process owners to understand business processes in order to determine security requirements. Regularly interact with management, basis support, development support and outsources partners to increase the security posture at a corporate level

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years experience in SAP security
Experience with multiple SAP products (R/3, BW, CRM, HRIS, EBP and Portals)
Strong understanding of the principles of business operational risk and control process and procedures is required
Strong organization, problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to develop strong working relationships with customers and end users
