General Summary: A Sr. Supply Chain Analyst for Logistics Applications is responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of business applications pertaining to Distribution, Transportation, and Warehousing systems using SAP. Candidate should possess strong logistics business knowledge and be able to incorporate that into technical solutions. Experience in SAP Logistics Execution module, and preferred knowledge of touch points with other SAP modules ie. SD, MM, FI/CO, ABAP, and logistics related EDI transactions. Strong written and oral communication skills are required, as well as an emphasis on detailed documentation, project management, and testing.
Key Work Performed:
• Configure SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and conduct thorough testing and ensure a sound technical solution is in place.
• Provide technical expertise within an assigned business unit/area, usually as a member of a project team, in the analysis, design and development of business applications.
• Prepare and provide detailed specifications to the application developer from which programs will be written.
• Lead small projects and ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.
• Collect and analyze business requirements for multifunctional projects. Identify integration issues and suggesting alternative solutions.
• Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications
B. Experience:
At least 3 years of SAP experience in design, development, analysis, and configuration, focused on the LE module, in particular the WM, Shipping, and Transportation areas.
Experience in the a production/service environment.
Experience with structured design, development and implementation of new computing architecture.
C. Knowledge:
3 years of SAP configuration/knowledge in the LE module.
Comprehensive understanding of SAP’s customizing toolset, including IMG (Implementing Management Guide)
SAP configuration skills in one or more modules, including LE.
Solid understanding of SAP’s data model in one or more functional areas, including LE.
Thorough business understanding in one or more functional areas, as well as an understanding of the organization’s industry.
Familiarity with SAP architecture.
